Grayson Brown tells the story of the miraculous catch of fish at the lake. Peter and the others had fished all night and caught nothing. They were washing their nets. They were done, exhausted. Grayson thinks that the first miracle was that Peter decides to go out again at Jesus’ request.
When they do catch an abundance of fish, everyone is happy except Peter. Peter confesses that he is a sinner, not worthy, just a lowly fisherman. But Jesus can see who Peter really is. He tells him not to be afraid.
Then Grayson explains one of his favorite stories from the New Testament – the healing of the centurion’s slave. He challenges us – “Do we believe that Jesus has the power to heal?”
