Get on the Bus with Kristal Corona & Lois Lengel Love keeps a family together no matter how much they are separated, but in-person visits can be life-changing. Power of Love program “Get on the Bus 2023” interviews Kristal Corona, Program Coordinator, and Lois Lengel, Board Member, who are dedicated to providing such services to families with incarcerated members. A family visit to the prison starts on the inside with the inmate’s request made to the “Get on the Bus” ministry. Coordination and cooperation from the State and other agencies, parishes, volunteers and family members result in secure, exciting bus rides to 13 of the 35 facilities in California. The nonprofit charity Center for Restorative Justice Works, founded by Sister Suzanne Jabro, CSJ, in 2001, provides the service free of charge to the families, helped out by a variety of Catholic groups.
