Bishop Gerald Barnes is retiring after over 25 years in San Bernardino as its Bishop. Fr. Soney Sebastian, SVD, in this interview, asks him about the challenges and joys of his time here. The Diocese started out with 235,000 Catholics in two counties of 20,000 square miles.

Now there are 1.7 million Catholic, 74% of whom are Hispanic.
