Simplicity in Ministry with Rev. Fr. John Gunningham Fr. John Ganningham is a priest in the Diocese of San Bernardino. Right now, he is working as Chaplin in the Kaiser hospital Fontana. He is a priest for 15 years. In his sharing he says his vocation begins with his family. He recalls the incident on a fine day a child running towards the altar and tugging the Chasuble of a priest and after the mass the priest comes and tells the parents that, “Work with this young man he has a vocation”. The prophesy came true in the life of Fr John. One thing he makes it very clear during this interview is that the challenges that a priest faces these days are an invitation or an opportunity for him to serve the Lord and his people better. Following the master and his footsteps will never make a priest to go wrong in his life. He also shares about his life as a Franciscan friar and then from there to the altars of the churches in the diocese of San Bernardino. I am sure you must be eager to know more about him, and his simplicity in his service for the people of God in every ministry that he had served.
