With Naomi Goforth

Jack Knight interviews Naomi Goforth, Program Manager of Hospitality House operated by the Salvation Army in San Bernardino, CA. Naomi, herself, is a former client of the Salvation Army. She was a personal trainer, but very service-oriented, she found that she wanted to do more for the whole person. So now she is at Hospitality House.
This ia a 90 day emergency shelter with 6 months transitional housing. They help a very diverse group of people, mainly families, though some are single moms or single dads. They are helped all along the way, with parenting training, help to find a job, help with housing needs. Many times the clients come back to “pay it forward” and volunteer to help others.
